Reports Overview
With FinBoard, you can create over 40 different reports in Google Sheets, all synced to live QuickBooks data. We support multiple variations of the same report type. For instance, a Profit & Loss (P&L) report can include period comparisons, year-to-date (YTD) comparisons, summaries by class, customer, or location, budget vs. actuals, project-based filtering, and more.
You can even generate project-level reports that provide a summary view of key financials for each individual project.
Sometimes, you may need a customised financial statement that combines or excludes certain categories. With FinBoard’s single company consolidation feature, you can redefine and map your existing chart of accounts to a new reporting structure, giving you the flexibility to tailor reports for specific needs.
One of FinBoard’s unique capabilities in Google Sheets is preserving your custom formatting upon data refresh. That means if you’ve applied specific styles, colors, or column widths to your report, those choices remain intact each time the data is updated.
Additionally, you can build models and insert custom formulas on the same sheet where you’ve imported data. For example, feel free to add new rows, columns, or calculations alongside the synced financial data. When you click “Refresh,” FinBoard updates only the cells linked to QuickBooks, keeping your models and formulas in place—no need to rebuild or reformat after every update.
